Knowing God

Jeremiah 9:23-24; "Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, let not the mighty man glory in his might, nor let the rich man glory in his riches; but let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord, exercising loving-kindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,” says the Lord."

At the end of the day, your energized preaching abilities, your amazing singing ability, your exegetical teaching skills, your moving music skills etc, etc... mean nothing if you don't know intimately God. Jesus said "everlasting life is to know God..." (John 17:3). Nothing more nothing less, to know God. Not to know about Him, but to personally walk with Him as Adam did in the garden. See that is what Jesus did on the cross He brought us back to an Edenic relationship with God, where we walk and talk to Him. In Revelation 3:20; Jesus says "I am at the door, and knock if any man hears my voice and opens...". Today if someone knocks, you say "who"you would only open to those whose voice sounds familiar. It's the same concept, only those who know the Voice of Jesus because they converse with Him shall open. Jesus will dine with those who know Him. Abilities, skills and talents are great, but to personally know him is best, for eternal sake. Let us be as Job if we lack fellowship with Him. Job found out it was better to know God than about God. Job 42:5 “I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear; but now my eye sees You;
